History

The Global Enterprise Challenge (GEC)was founded in 2001 by Gordon McVie in order to give young people an excellent opportunity for personal growth, to experience business thinking and practical entrepreneurship. Since 2002, the GEC was hosted by Scotland, South Africa, Wales, USA and New Zealand.

In 2008,The Global Enterprise Challenge - EuroHub (GEC EuroHub) was initiated: European participants meet in Mainz, Germany for a parallel event to the GEC, to compete with their fellow campaigner in the same challenge, but being able to save travel costs.


2010, Asia and America meet in Bali, Indonesia, while again the EuroHub takes place in Mainz, Germany european countrys to compete with the whole world simultaneously.
